The Bombers Eggbutt Bomber Blue Elliptical bit is designed to provide consistent contact, comfort, and enhanced control for both schooling and competition. The eggbutt cheekpiece offers a more stable feel in the horse’s mouth, helping to prevent pinching of the lips while stopping the bit from being pulled through. It also delivers a slightly slower release than a loose ring and introduces light poll pressure for added control.

The elliptical mouthpiece is engineered to follow the natural contour of the horse’s tongue, with double-locked joints that maintain the correct angle even when rein pressure is applied. By concentrating pressure on a smaller surface area than the Control Plate, this design is ideal for horses that push against the bit, encouraging them to lower the head, tuck the chin, and achieve better balance.

Crafted from Bomber Blue nylon composite, the mouthpiece is lightweight and encourages salivation, making it especially suitable for horses that are sensitive to traditional metal bits. A stainless-steel core provides strength and structure, while the injection-moulded outer creates a smooth, ergonomic profile that minimises pressure points.
