The Bombers Loose Ring Bomber Blue Elliptical bit is designed to provide comfort, control, and precision for schooling and competition. Its innovative elliptical mouthpiece follows the contour of the horse’s tongue, offering immediate relief from tongue and bar pressure while resetting to a neutral position in the horse’s mouth.
The centre elliptical joints are double-locked, ensuring the correct angle over the tongue is maintained even when the reins are engaged. By concentrating pressure on a smaller surface area than the Control Plate, the Elliptical is ideal for horses that push against the bit, helping them lower their head and find better balance while responding more effectively to lateral aids.
Cheekpiece:
The preferred Bomber cheekpiece comes in three sizes (large, standard, and a smaller pony version). Using a bit strap is recommended to stabilize the loose ring and minimize mouthpiece sliding. Bit rubbers may also be used as a precaution.
Mouthpiece:
This conventional Bomber Blue mouthpiece applies sharper pressure to the tongue while maintaining gentle bar pressure. The lightweight nylon composite encourages salivation and is ideal for horses sensitive to metal. At the core, a stainless-steel spine is injection-moulded with the nylon material, providing a smooth, ergonomic profile with no unnecessary pressure points.
