A driving harness generally includes a collar or breastcollar, saddle and backband, girth, breeching, traces and reins. A driving bridle may be included or sold separately. A well-fitted harness should sit level and snug without rubbing, with the collar or breastcollar sized to your horse’s shoulder and the breeching adjusted so it takes the weight evenly when the vehicle slows. If you are unsure, our team can talk you through fitting for your specific set.

The Classic range is durable, proven harness gear for everyday driving, while the Elite range is built to a higher specification for drivers who want extra refinement and performance.

A Single Harness suits one horse, and a Pair Harness suits two horses driven side by side. A Team Harness is for four horses. For tandem driving, the Tandem Leader Harness is worn by the lead horse, with a single harness on the wheeler behind it.

Yes. Alongside complete harness sets, we stock individual components such as driving bridles, driving aprons, saddle pads, Quick Hitch Couplers and Quick Release Shaft Fittings. If you only need to replace one worn piece, you can shop those parts directly through our harness accessories range.
